The Scouts' intent for this outing was to have a camp-out where there was no particular “structured agenda” for them….so, that is indeed the plan. It was also decided that they wanted to do this camp-out with Troop 895, so Sean O. is meeting with their SPL to plan a couple of fun team building activities for the group. (Thanks Sean!)
While the guys have no specified agenda, there will still be a lot offered:
- Mr Elout will be offering time specifically focused on helping those who need help with Cooking Merit Badge requirements, both for TFC needs and merit badge requirements! (More information here) Thanks Mello!
- I also understand that our 2017 Philmont Crew plans to take this opportunity to get better acquainted with the gear that they will be using on that trip, and Mr. Franklin and Mr. Grossman are in touch with the Crew, I’m certain.
- I’m also certain that Mr. Cox and Mr. Donovan will have some TFC activities available….and I suspect we will probably set up an Axe yard since our Axe and Saw specialist Mr. Ahlemeier will be present.
We will plan to meet at AUMC at 5:30 pm on Friday, March 24th (T895 will join us at AUMC at 6:00 pm), and depart as soon as possible for Cool Water Ranch; for those who attended our fishing camp-out in October, you’ll recognize this ranch. It is amazing, and the fishing is spectacular!
