Participants are Scouts holding troop positions of leadership and the adults in roles that correspond with these youth leaders (Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmasters, Quartermaster, and Advancement Chair).
Additionally, teaching/training positions are available for older Scouts that have participated in this course and gone on to attend Oak Leaf and/or NYLT. This is especially true for our Junior Assistant Scoutmasters (JASMs).
The tentative course agenda is:
- Friday, January 26th
- 7:00-8:00 pm (Facilitators/Teachers only) Setup, organize, assign teaching parts; prepare to teach
- Saturday, January 27th
- 9:00-10:15 Part 1: Troop organization, roles & responsibilities, introductions to vision & leadership
- 10:30-11:45 Part 2: Tools of the Trade (communication, planning, teaching)
- 12:00-1:15 Part 3: Working Lunch, Leadership, Teamwork, vision reprise, & Wrap-up
- 1:15-1:30 Teardown, cleanup, and adjourn

- 1:30-2:30 PLC Planning Meeting
