As you may be aware, we are implementing a new system in the weekly troop meetings, by assigning sets of duties to each patrol for a few meetings. The rotations for the patrol duty roster change every 2 weeks. The duties for each patrol for April and May are shown in the image above (link to source here).
These duties are summed up into 3 types: the program patrol, the service patrol, and the spirit patrols.
The Program Patrol:
- Be the color guard for troop activities and meetings
- Present the skills instruction for each meeting as the agenda calls for it
- Help organize and conduct courts of honor
The Service Patrol:
- Arrive at the troop meetings about 15 minutes early to set up the meeting area (tables, chairs, etc.)
- Clean up the room where the room was held and put chairs and tables away
- Assist the quartermaster in packing and unpacking the trailer
The Spirit Patrol:
- Organize cracker barrel on camp outs
- Organize skits and songs for the campfire
- Lead games at meetings
- Organize the spirit jug competition
